"Transfiguratie" consists of several exact inversions of a small organ work of J.S. Bach*. Aim was to show that a long time and still during the baroque period western and jewish musical priciples were far-reaching opposites. Already in his youth J.b.L. had the idea that in the echo of some concert music and so in this organ work he could hear an entirely other music. Indeed Transfiguratie as many jewish synagogue music show an upward tendency of musical lines while most of the baroque music show a downward tendency. Both Transfiguratie and the original work you can listen to.
*Transfiguratie is not meant to disparage J.S. Bach as a composer. Because his works are well structured some of them are more suitable for a musical comparison
